Seeking Mary
2019
Seeking Mary was my final submission for my Fda. In it I was trying to understand, and connect with Mary the Mother of Jesus . The interest in this subject was triggered by visiting many churches, particularly abroad, where there are numerous statues and images of a beatified Mary. Through this work I sought to understand, and connect with Mary the Mother of Jesus.
The 12 pictures (collated into one image here) explore Mary as a woman of her time; more than the mother of Jesus. They show Mary performing everyday tasks as well as depicting some of the scenes from the Bible.
